Foot Care Clinic

Aim: To reduce rate & level of lower limb amputation in diabetes patient, by foot screening, repeated foot care education, offloading techniques and limb salvaging surgeries

Methods:

• Comprehensive foot examination of every diabetes patient visiting Diabetes OPD
• Foot care education by lectures, subjective counseling, handouts given to patients
• Proactive treatment of pre ulcers and non healing ulcers
• We offer OPD services and assistance e.g. callosity paring, corns paring, ingrown nails pairing, electronic pedicure, complete wound care
• We offer primary, secondary and tertiary prevention for diabetic foot, Charcot foot
• Footwear and orthotic prescriptions for offloading the wound
